First of all we can have a good chat when you can tell me what is troubling you. This time also gives you the opportunity to get to know me and ask me any questions about what your therapy treatment will entail.

.

When you are happy to proceed with the therapy I will then ask for some medical history to enable me to fill in the required forms.

.

Depending on the problem, I will use a number of therapy techniques that will be tailored to suit you and your needs. These techniques are designed to clear negativity allowing you to take charge of your life once more and empowering you to move forward in a positive way.  All I ask of you is to be open to the positive changes and to following my guidance.

.

I will usually complete your therapy session with a deeply relaxing 30 mins of hypnotherapy using this time to tie all the techniques and positive suggestions together.

.

Whilst undergoing hypnosis you will sit in a comfortable seat, listening to the sound of my voice and the relaxing music.I shall then lead you into progressive relaxation by the use of direct and indirect suggestion. When your mind is beginning to drift off and your body is feeling relaxed I shall lead you into hypnosis, you will be aware of my voice and everything about you, you will still be in control of all your functions but will feel quite dreamy/drowsy.You can open your eyes at anytime, but will feel like it’s just too much effort to do so.

Some of the techniques I may use to help you are:  Aversion Therapy (mainly used for smoking cessation and sugar addictions), NLP* or EFT*, (NLP and EFT were both used by Paul Mckenna on his widely acclaimed T.V. programme, “I Can Change Your Life”).

The first session can take up to 2.5 hours, any further sessions should take around 1 - 2 hours.

I always recommend at least two sessions, your main therapy session and a follow up to ensure everything is working as it should.  Please note deeper issues may require further sessions.

As part of your treatment I will do a recording for you to support you with your therapy at home, this will be included in the price and I will prepare it after your first therapy session and send it to you - giving you time to listen to the recording before your next appointment.

*What are EFT and NLP?

EFT, or the Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture.  It is non evasive and does not use needles but a way of tapping these points using the finger tips, whilst voicing positive affirmations which then clear the emotional block, thus restoring a balance of mind and body.  It is particularly effective with overcoming cravings and stress related problems but can be used for a wide variety of ailments.

NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Neuro - How we think.

Linguistic - How our experiences are interpreted through language.

Programming - Patterns of thinking and behaviour.

NLP is used widely in the coporate world and especially in sports coaching.  In essence it is a way of changing negative thought processess into a positive mind set.  Building resources, insights and mental techniques that can enable you to improve how you think, behave and feel.  It is a technique which 'reprograms' the mind to think in a positive way.

.

Neuro refers to how the mind and body interact.

.

Linguistic refers to the insights into a a person’s thinking that can be obtained by careful attention to their use of language.

.

Programming refers, not to the activity of programming, but to the study of the thinking and behavioural patterns or ‘programmes’ which people use in their daily lives.

Through the use of NLP I can help you to build resources that help you overcome obstables, discover your key values and how they affect you, get rid of unwanted habits and thought patterns, bulding confidence and motivation in everyday life.
